About Frequency 219

We know the songs because we lived through them.

Frequency 219 is three guys from Ottawa bringing an acoustic pulse to the rock music that stuck with us.

The setup is simple: two acoustic guitars, a cajon, and vocals. The feel is not. We aim for the place where a stripped-down arrangement still has weight: the chorus lands, the groove moves, and the edges stay a little scuffed.

It is music for people who remember when these songs first came through car speakers, basement stereos, and crowded bars, played now with a few more miles and a lot less pretending.

The band

Three guys, wood and wire.

Josh from Frequency 219

Josh

Lead vocals, guitar

Josh handles the lead vocal line and rhythm guitar, keeping the songs grounded in melody, grit, and the kind of choruses that still feel good to sing out loud.

Steve from Frequency 219

Steve

Vocals, lead guitar

Steve brings lead guitar texture, hooks, and backing vocals, adding the colour and lift that let familiar songs take on a rougher acoustic shape.

Chris from Frequency 219

Chris

Rythm

Chris drives the room from the cajon, giving the set its pulse without crowding the guitars or burying the voices.

The format

Compact acoustic setup for pubs, patios, private events, and smaller stages.

The feel

Grunge-era instincts, 2000s rock hooks, and arrangements built around the room.

The promise

Recognizable songs delivered with warmth, grit, and no karaoke energy.
